There is info out there. May be you were wanting to share some information that you have with us?
Devons Mcwain No. 7 is being drilled in Shelby county 9 mi west of Center, Tx. Devons website states that they are drlling two wells into the haynesville shale of which Mcswain 7 is one of them. I have been told by reliable source that the drilling has been completed. However I cant find anyone who has any more info as to the status of the well.
There is also a BP well just south of McSwain that is permitted to 13,000'. As far as I know drilling has not started yet.
the are drilling the Borders Unit #1 at this time on FM 711,, I believe it is on the Cecilia McSwain land.
do you know any information about it.. Cabot Oil is doing the drilling?

It's a monster ~ 35-40 mmcf/day---- fax multiple segments on flow unit this week--info tight lip---fax the haynesville and fax may have extending into the CV lime below the shale. public info ~ 3-4 months or next conference Qt call from DVN.
addition information---CHK today applied for premit in Shelby County --Harvey # 1-- a H well total depth plan to 18000'includes 4352' H leg per plat, so vertical depth is ~ 12-13000' which I assume is a shale well. The well is ~ 8.5 miles NE Center or 7-8 miles SSW of Joaquin. Location in the H. Ashabanner Survey. This info placed on RRC site today.
adubu....curious as to the source of your information....the Devon scout was saying as late as yesterday that the well had not been fracced yet....maybe Devon is "tight holing" him too....

thanks
John
TalcoOil sorry can not tell you source confidential it will be public in due time at rrc. The well was on a flow back unit last couple week and may now be completed and connected into pipeline now. Get you scout to drive by the site and check
Bad news--they screw the well up-- pipe problem---only going to make about 2 mmcf/day-McSwain 7H
What did they do? Can it be repaired?
casing problem during completion-nothing you can do on this well is my understanding-learing process for future--it will makes some gas--EUR unknown for this well. The good news the shale is present in the County Line field so called area of Shelby and Nacgodoches county--tight with high pressure--bad news is NG prices will have to improve before drilling another H well in area--too expensive at $4 gas because questionable pay out time.
To me, this is very good news.
