I heard that everything has pretty much slowed down to a stop in Shelby County...(Tenaha area) because O&G co's are having trouble with getting gas out of there..(pipeline). If that is true, what can they do about this? Will they still continue to pursue the area? Does anyone know if there is any future activity planned there? I know there is a pipeline that runs across my property but don't know if it can be used...anyone have any info?

Due to the sheer volume of gas these wells are producing, the pipelines in place now are like trying to pump out sam rayburn through your garden hose. A whole new infrastructure of pipelines has to be installed. they are doing the best they can with what they have till other arrangements can be made. We are in the same boat in west shelby county too. Leasing is still going on over here but offers are low.
Thanks....
Center seems to be very busy...do they not have the pipeline problem? What are other options to the pipeline? Is it cost effective to use pipeline so that is the most common method of transporation? I know that probably sounds silly, but I don't know...thanks
yes pipeline is easiest and most cost effective. center already had some pipelines in place and carthage also. they were drilling and adding pipelines in center and stockman a couple of years ago so they are ahead of the game. also center/stockman area seems to be a sweet spot for drilling.
Where around Center.....North of Center, Northeast of Center, East of Center, SouthEast of Center, South of Center, SouthWest of Center, West of Center, Northwest of Center -- have I covered all the directions? Just curious. Seems like where my land is no one (Landsman, Gas Company, etc.) wants to let us know anything. It is definitely a wait and see game that they seem to be playing.
Southwest of Center
most definately southwest of center. all you need to do is take a drive to see.
