15.00-25.00 per acre is an average that has been discussed a lot on this site.  Try a search for "seismograph"  in the archives and you should get lots of good information.

You can search just Shelby County by scrolling to the bottom of the discussions on the Shelby County page and clicking "view all".  There will be a search box at the top of the page.  You can search the entire site by going to the bottom of the discussions on the main page and using the same steps.  Good luck.

I have a question about McKilvey Hezakiah, a-464, location C.R. 699 Shelby County,

they did seizmic in December, 2009 then came back in August 2010 which they said they were finishing up toward Joaquin area.  I received a letter from same company Seitel Data wanting to pay  $15.00 per acre to do seizmic in the same area that has already been done.  The map says Joaquin west 3-D.  Does anyone have an explanation of why  they would be doing this area again.

What towns or communities is this survey located near?

I'm not familiar with FM 2913.

Teacher, it's near the Rusk Co. line and just a bit north of Hwy. 7.

We were contacted by a company named Dawson with the offer of $15/acre.  I was told by an attorney who has had some experience with surveys and clients that it was not the best price but fair.  We are located in Shelby CO.  off of 947 in between Tenaha & Timpson (up towards Panola line).....Hope that helps you.

Laurie---the most common they every company has paid is $25 per acre plus any special damage that may occur over and above usual
