Texas mineral  ownership is harder to run than Louisiana. There are different laws in Texas that separate the mineral rights from the  surface rights forever. In Louisiana you can only hold  the separated mineral rights from a sale for 10 years unless there is production from the property. Once the property doesn't produce minerals for 10 years then the mineral rights revert back to the surface owner.

I know. We just went throough all that. We  90 something heirs own the bottom . The deceased lease I found out has passed away. Only 20 of us actually proved heirship legally. Actually had to go back 50 years. We may get our attorney fees back. See the Huskies well is still producing. There are 2 horizontal wells and one deep well. An amendment was filed last year to drill deeper in the James Lime deal. Just wondered if any more wells have been tied in to these. Our royalties will be small I ma sure. Thought maybe someone knew any actions lately. Landman said new wells are going on and will, but they are waiting on gas prices to go up. Thanks
