I no longer live in Timpson but have mineral rights approximately 3 miles east on 87 & 2 mi. south of 87.  I leased with Devon 2 years ago.  Does anyone on here have min.rights/land in this general area?  Is anything being drilled or permitted in this area?  I would appreciate some information if possible.  (DeCalb Sapp survey) Thanks!

Mustang Drilling out of Henderson has 2-3 marginal cotton valley wells in the southeast area 3 miles from Timpson along east side of 87.. But a well you want to watch is the Adams # 1 H in Arcadia area in the Howell Survey by Devon. It's premitted to be H Bossier Shale test. It's on the East side of 87. I see Sapp Survey on West side of 87. So not sure location you talking about. If you go to the Texas RRC site and click on the GIS Viewer Map you can see all the activity in any area of Texas you chose.
Yes, you are right....on the west side of 87; thanks for the map info, I'll check it out.
Is the survey you are talking about the D. Sapp (A-666) survey? If so, then you are just about 1 mile directly NW of Devon's Whitton 1-H well that is close to completion.
yes the Whittom may tell more than the Adam's well--lots of rumor around about the Whitton
What kind of rumors? Good, bad, or neither?
rumors--that is a good well and reason for increased activity in area, but you know how rumors go so don't hold your breath. All info in new area of test wells always tight lipped for peroid of time. But who knows!
I appreciate that rumors are just that. But, I have minerals a couple of miles west of the Whitton well (leased to Devon) and I'd rather hear rumors of good news than rumors of bad news.
Yes, that is the survey. When you say "close to completion", any idea as to how much longer? I know that they specify depth on the permits, I don't know anything about time frame on drilling these.
I think drilling completed and waiting to be frac. or has been recently frac and flowing to sales, It will be long time before info released due to tight lipped well. Maybe D. Garr or some one can expand on this info that may know if completed or not. Again my info is only rumor without verified source
