Last update on sonlite shown as of 12/15/2010. No information other than dept. Does anyone know more about this well?

Yes! Thats the well. It is less then a mile from my home. I passed there today. It is surrounded by a wooden fence and there is no sign of any activity.

Not sure if this link will work, but the well is definitely in 10,16,14.

I live in Section 10.  After signing with Chesapeake, we received a map showing 2 potential well sites - and the one you are referring to is indeed one of them.  However, it doesn't look like much has happened with it yet other than the land being cleared and the fencing put up.  Last activity shown was in December when the permitting occurred.
