Looks like there may be some new leasing in southern Union. The company leasing is named Robinhood exploration. They are most likely the leasing agent and another company will do the drilling. The target is most likely the cotton valley as this same agent is trying to lease other large tracts of land around Ruston. The going rate in Lincoln and Jackson Parish is $500/acre with 25% royalty.

Permalink Reply by Larry on January 29, 2015 at 3:46 I was approached on selling lease in southern union parish for a $300/acre with 20% royalty. I ask for lease contract to read over and at this time I have not heard back from him. Been talking with this company since November of last year. He is also talking with neighbors. I know of no one who has signed at this time. If another company is interested in this area I would love for then to contact me.
