GHS: So, what about you guys?

AROW (Don Valden):  Texas Right of Way Associated is an affiliate of American Right of Way Associates. We provide Right of Way acquisition agents, Teams and Team Leaders. Surface Land Title research, Mineral Leasing Landmen, preliminary design survey, ALTA/ASCM As-built oil and natural gas pipeline alignment route and right of way surveys, construction staking and services for many other phases. To summarize, we are a professional right of way firm dedicated to serving the needs of the oil and gas industry and those companies currently working the Haynesville Shale. 

GHS: Tell us a little about your company.

AROW (Don Valden): We are not new on the scene, I have worked in the state of Louisiana for half of my 27 year oil and gas career. I have acquired 100s of Right of Way servitudes in Louisiana for many of the top energy companies in the world.

GHS: What sets your company apart?

AROW (Don Valden): Well, its got to be our experience. Specifically in the Shale. The Haynesville is very similar to the Barnett Shale. So they will have many of the same challenges. It is vital that you have someone who has experienced this type of play. We have that experience.

GHS: So you are seeking to train additional agents to fill the future needs for ROW Agents?

AROW (Don Valden): That's right we will be conducting a class on January 24th, a Saturday, for those interested in pursuing a career, getting a refresher, or simply wanting to deepen their knowledge of this topic. GHS: Why should somebody consider taking this class?

AROW (Don Valden):  First and foremost, Education is Power. If you can show the Oil and Gas Company you want to work for that you are serious enough to get a good quality education in that field you have a better chance of getting your resume considered. The Oil and Gas Companies we have service agreements with recognize our class as a good quality education because they know what we teach and they know that our graduates make good quality agents. It also creates an opportunity for Land Agents to progress to Right of Way once the leasing end of the shale slows, which is what has happened. It also allows agents to earn more money because they are more valuable with the right education.
