Sally, I know how excited you must be!  I know just how you feel and I do so appreciate your kind words.  I am happy to say that my soldier is home now and in the Tx. Army Guard after 14 months in Iraq. We should all be so very grateful for their service and sacrifice!  And pray that they can all come home unscathed.

Tell Jesse thank you for his service.  I am a military mother myself and am so happy that I will see my son this Saturday!!!  It has been over 6 months and I am so excited.  Thank you to you and your family as well for all the sacrifices that you have made.

jffree1,

Thanks to you also. I know that families sacrifice as much as the soldiers themselves.

Jesse has been in Iraq for the past year, at Camp Taji. He will be coming home next week.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
