Joe, my land is only 4 or 5 miles from you. If you are worried that you have not received any offers from the o/g company, so was I so I contacted them myself and my last offer is $20,000 per acre and another landman has already told me that his company will beat that offer. Read some posts here on this site as to what to do. You can click on some of my posts because I have talked about who to contact for our area several times before.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
