John Hughes, i.e. “King John”

GHS: Where do you live?

Greater Beaumont area while spending summers in Arcadia TX.

GHS: How did you choose your profile name?

It’s been my name for about 10 years. Peers in my profession gave me that name. I have been a professional bartender for about 22 years and am well respected in my profession.
I am the king of night life, not the shale!

GHS: What’s your leasing story?

I inherited a 25% interest in about 700 acres. Most of my minerals have been leased for years only to have recently seen any action. I have a very small tract available for lease currently and haven’t had any offers since summer of 08. My land is located in Arcadia TX, Shelby County.

GHS: Family and Kids?

Two teenage daughters. The grey hair is coming in pretty fast now!

GHS: When you are not on GHS, what do you do?

I run the roads. Any chance I get I’ll either go to my farm in Arcadia or go fishing on the gulf coast. I’ve put 34k miles on my new car since Oct.

GHS: Favorite Movie?

Pulp Fiction, Monsters, Inc., Dogs of War

Much ablidged, King John, on the thumbs up on my posts. I am a man of many hats but have never been a bartender other than to fetch ice, because of my clean hands (not greasy), for my friends at a local mechanic shop. Only bourbon or white lightning is the sprit of the day, if your lucky there may be a few beers of different brands in the fridg left over from yesterday. KB knows the bartending trade cause she has worked it. KB can be my bartender any day.
