Who is the Louisiana Mineral Board really working for? Us the people or the Oil Companies?

I saw the other day where the Louisiana Mineral Board place a statement in the Shreveport Times. It had a nice little map of where the Haynesville shale is located. Question is "How long have they had this information and what kind of action can the people take if they have had this info and been withholding it from the land owners?" If they have had this info for a while and people who say "SOLD" their mineral rights for $300 an acre might have gotten alot more had they had this info as soon as it was known to the mineral board. If this info wasn't published as soon as it was available to them, then couldn't this be similar to insider trading on the part of the mineral board? Food for thought! I myself have nothing to gain over this because I have no property in the shale. But there are alot of people who might want to look into this. This is not my own original idea. Someone I know brought this up and I thought it might be a good topic.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
