"The international offshore rig count for April 2010 was 308, up 13 from the 295 counted in March 2010 and up 36 from the 272 counted in April 2009.

The US rig count for April 2010 was 1,479, up 60 from the 1,419 counted in March 2010 and up 484 from the 995 counted in April 2009. The Canadian rig count for April 2010 was 123, down 263 from the 386 counted in March 2010 and up 49 from the 74 counted in April 2009.

The worldwide rig count for April 2010 was 2,676, down 203 from the 2,879 counted in March 2010 and up 621 from the 2,055 counted in April 2009."
