One operator that is a darkhorse, but drilling very very good wells....Exco. Is right up there with CHK and Petrohawk in technical ability.

I voted CHK - they have a lot of experience and expertise. I would have ranked HK just below. None of these choices were bad, IMO.

Surprised to see Devon so low, they are notorious for having very good landowner relations, are continually recognized by the government for enviormental protections, and have a strong history in shales.

Pertohawk is a great company. I know several people that work with them and they are the best around. I have heard nothing but good news about them and there managment team !!!!!!

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
