Barbara, as incongruous as it sounds there is no Haynesville Shale in Haynesville, LA. The Haynesville formation in that part of north LA is sand, not shale. There isn't a Haynesville Shale well within 30+ miles of Haynesville. The Claiborne Parish Clerk of Court does not have remote access to the public records (you can't view them on the computer, you have to go there in person). If family probate has been properly filed over the generations and there is proof of ownership in the clerk's records an interested oil & gas company will find the heirs if they wish to lease. It would be a real long shot to spend money on IMO. Skip
