Rachel,

HK's acreage acquisition cost averaged less than $400 per acre but they payed approx $3,000 an acre for there black hawk acreage NE of the Hawkville center. there 1st well produced 3.3 million cubic feet per day and averaged 960 BOPD.

If I were you I would google Eagle Ford Shale and record all the completions close to your legal description and evaluate where you stand. Is you land in Zavala County? If not find the biggest producers closest to you. depending on how much acreage you have you might want to hire your own team and give them a percentage of whatever bonus acreage you are able to negotiate. If you have a section or more please consider getting a specialist to help you. God bless you and give you favor!

HK is estimateing Estimate Ultimate Recovery of 150,000 to 250,000 BBLS. Using the estimated future worth you might find a formula from an experienced landman or petroleum engineer who might be able to give ball park figures you could expect for a range of values a company would be willing to pay for a lease of your land.

See Petrohawk's latest presentation - the well came in for 350 BOPD but is still cleaning up, may improve. Next well should be better. Is your land in the oil or gas area of the Eagle Ford shale?
