I posted this info on the main page, then decided to add it here since I noticed several SWD wells permitted in Bienville. The going rate for these wells in East Texas is .05 cents per barrel and 10% of oil sales, plus surface damage. The offer I received did not include any per barrel amount or oil sales. IMO these offers are the equivalent to the early, cheap leases that we signed before we knew better. Now we know better. These SWD wells are a great asset for the O&G Co. and a permanant loss to the landowner.

That oil is skim oil, oil that is separated from the SW, if there is no oil, there are no oil sales.
There is always oil sale. The average landowner would not know this. My reason for posting this is to let the average landowner know. Just as when one signs a mineral lease, there are a lot of questions that you should ask. We don't know what to ask, if we haven't any knowledge at all.
