KSLA Channel 12 News at 5 pm

They just announced the information regarding the conference call (Chesapeake) and said that Chesapeake is paying between $15,000 - $25,000 an acre. I want to know if Twin Cities is going to back that up now and offer us (Bossier City) more than the $5,500/acre.

The information I saw was that they paid $17k for ~10,000 acres.

The $15,000 - $25,000 is just what they announced on the news at 5 p.m. They said that Chesapeake said that they are paying that much now, unless I heard them wrong???

Channel 12 just ran the story again at 10:00 p.m. and the reporter did say that today on a conference call, Chesapeake CEO said that they were paying $15,000 to $25,000 per acre to lease. I'm glad Ch. 12 ran the story again.

Chesapeake nor will any body else pay that kind of money for every acre in this thing..But----get all you can !!!!!

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
