When a O&G Co. has a presentation and is comparing two wells with wire line logs and state that well #1 has 1196u Max Gas an well #2 has 1620u Max Gas what are they representing?

Thanks to all on the forum for this educational website.

May be talking mudlogs and the gas reading 1196 units of gas and the other in same interval 16220 units of gas, this is not a wire line log.
mudlog, not wireline.

This would be dissolved gasses in the mud.
Terry or Baron,

How would this test help O&G Co. to determine if well is worth completing?
If you are seeing a lot of gas in the mud, it must be coming from the rock.... The mudlogger will also take samples of the cuttings as the well is drilled to look for shows.

Thanks again
