Did anyone happen to see T. Boone Pickens on CNN being interviewed by Larry King?
If so, what did you think about it?

No, kidding. I was just interested in what T. Boone Pickens had to say.
I agree about Mr. Pickens being a VERY bright individual. Have you read the book about him?.....very interesting read.
I'm really interested in how people thought T. Boone Pickens answered the questions that Larry King asked him.
I saw a promo that Pickens would be on Larry King so I turned in to watch. It was about American Idols instead.
Apparently Pickens was on the show earlier.
Could you give a brief summary of what he said or what you thought to be significant?
Ole T. Boone is shewed. He is playing up wind and solar energy because he knows that you have to have gas power plants to go along with them. Wind and solar can not provide a constant and steady supply of electricity like gas, coal and nuclear can. But the problem they are having with wind is it covers vast amounts of land to produce just a little amount of electricity and at best they can only get the turbines to produce at around 35% of there full potential. Also no one wants them around their homes.
Here is a link if anyone wants to see the interview: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/larry_king_live/

T. Boone should have put in a pitch for natural gas!

In any case it does not sound good for BP and their efforts to stop the leak.
Thanks for the link. I've been looking for a video of the interview and couldn't find it.
He's not optimistic about the top kill . Bad news.
have to look for something good i.e. royalty owners with oil & gas leases with several 100,000 bpd off market and the economy improving crude oil & NG prices will increase. Maybe Washington will now look at using more Shale NG onshore drilling. The Texas coast seafood business will improve. Lots of new jobs for labor to clean up the mess. It will be a stimulation to the job market over all. Yes is some cases bad to some.
LOFGT, I did see the interview but the vast majority of the discussion was concerning GOM oil disaster. Boone made some very insightful observations and comments concerning the incident. The closing moments included his continued push for the increased usage of domestic natural gas resources and to reduce imports of Middle East crude oil.
