To show how the Haynesville Shale deepens to the south, Shell's recent well permit in the Zwolle Field has a true vertical depth (TVD) of 15,130 ft. I believe this is the deepest horizontal Haynesville Shale well to date. The measured depth (MD) is permitted at 19,880 ft.

How close would this be to the original Olympia that started and was uncompleted in "08"?
Ken, the following vertical Haynesville Shale well was ~ 7 miles to the northwest.
Electro, where would I find the "Smackover-All Over Here" group? Thanks for the post!
Electro, If you double check I think you will find that your list includes a James Lime well with a TVD of 6492'. I would further suggest that you check the TVD for the wells on your list against the Field Order depth definitions in the two fields you reference.
Electro, as you have "already referenced these wells and depths" then you should be aware that 241087 is not SMK depth. It is HA depth, ~100' short of SMK depth as defined in the Grogan Field, Field Order 955-J. Yes, I noticed that you latched on to the 13,400' SMK depth definition. I suggest that you consider using the depth definitions contained in the Field Orders approved and posted for public access by the Department of Natural Resources/Office of Conservation.
The fact that 241400 is a horizontal James Lime well permit does not support, in any way, your prior post as to your list of JUR wells by s/n. And by deleting your immediately previous post from this discussion thread, IMO, you attempt to avoid your lack of accuracy in that listing.
I am interested in interesting things and would like to keep seeing them!
"This is a list of recent JUR-RA (Smackover depths) wells permitted and/or in the completion stages in Sabine Parish: 241030, 241087, 241088, 241429, 241213, 241263 & 241400. Anyone can use SONRIS LITE to look at these wells if they wish to do so."

I did use SONRIS Lite and SONRIS Classic to review the accuracy of your post. If I misinterpreted your listing of a James Lime well "as supporting anything associated with the SMK". I imagine I would not be alone in that regard. And we may all define "interesting" for ourselves. Such as your avoiding my statement that Order 955-J defines the depth of the HA in 241087 as ~100' short of SMK depth.
Is there a possibility that the smackover could be 100 - 300 feet shallower or deeper given the terrain of the land in different areas? It does not seem possible that this layer would be exactly at the same depth in north - south - east - and west!
Shaleeee, you are exactly correct that the Smackover Formation will vary in depth over the region. The variation can be quite significant dependent on the slope (dip) of the formation.
