How often is the Sonris lite web pages updated? I am needing information regarding a well that has been drilled and fraced.   I know that a well was completed three weeks ago, but Sonris hasn't updated since the first of October.   Does anyone know how long after they have finished fracing a well when you would start receiving royalty checks?

Teresa - Your first question has been addressed several times and the general consensus from frequent, knowledgeable users is that the lag time is several weeks. It's been stated that this may be attributed to the increase in drilling/producing brought on by the HS activity and the inability of the (perhaps limited?) staff to keep up with the workload.

Receiving royalty checks seems dependant upon when the well goes into production/sales, probably not upon fracing. Someone check me on my accuracy about this, please.

Hope this helps.

Theresa,
A lot depends on the company that is operating the well as to when you get your royalty checks. Some are quicker than others. I know of a well that is split between encana and shell that most people have a check from encana for that half but shell is behind. They will catch up eventually. Also keep in mind that just because a well is frac'd doesn't mean it is selling gas yet. I have seen them finish and wait a long time on a pipeline to be completed. The good news is it is coming and when they start they will come every month for a very long time. Good luck to you. Jeff
Thanks
How long will you get checks from a good HS well with a 4000' lateral and 9200#SITP?
I am no expert Jack but I would think they will produce for many years. Also you can look forward to a second, third, and so on until the unit is maxed out. If you sit on the mid bossier as well this could be a total of 16 wells. We probably won't live long enough to find out but our kids might.
NO BAD NEWS HERE!!!
3 or 4 months behind is not at all uncommon for data to appear in SONRIS.
