Buckshot, it looks like it could be limited gathering system capacity.  Several of SWEPI's later wells in this vicinity are producing on low choke settings.  Is your lease still in its primary term?  Have you contacted SWEPI to ask about the well being shut-in?

Yes Skip thanks for the response yes still in primary term and yes put a call into number on Sonris, no luck no call back no info, you have a better number to get info from SWEPI?  Thanks for the input, as I said you saw the production on SONRIS produced well/good for several months then nothing. LET ME KNOW, AGAIN THANKS!!

Once the primary term expires you will be under the shut-in provisions in your lease and SWEPI will have to tender payment to you and other lessors so situated in that unit.  At that time you may get an explanation.  If you know landowners who reside in the area you might ask them about pipeline construction.

On one of the WH-1 forms filed this summer it seemed to suggest they had an issue while installing tubing.   Said it was shut-in shortly after due to failed fishing attempts (or something similar).

I had been watching some wells in this area and saw where this was shut-in but I've never known exactly why.  If you get the full story from SWEPI, let us know.

here is the deal on this well. the well went down on 2/15 because they were trying to snub tubing in. (they were producing from the casing since first production on about 12/21)  they cut the wireline accidently and this caused all kinds of trouble.  after two wireline tries to fish the stuff out and a coil tubing unit to try to get the wire and tools out, they had no luck.  they then brought in a snubbing unit and finally got it back.  the production came back on 10/17 and has been steady at about 10 million a day.  ...with some ups and downs that is, but has been basically steady on a 10 or 9 million rate a day.

a note about the comment on gathering capacity.  There is plenty of capacity.  They do have a few hiccups here and there with pigging runs.  Seems that shell and EnCana are bad about producing a lot of water that they are not dropping out.

The Cook Taylor Land 8-1H produced for October  131574 MCF @ 15.025.  November it did 271023 MCF @ 15.025. This will be what Shell will report to the state.  Just remember the Btu is running around .967 , when applied to the MCF, makes the pay volume in dekatherm  slightly less .

Big thanks Pelican.  That makes sense.  Glad they got it back on finally.

THANKS FOR THE INFO GUYS BEEN OUT OF TOWN AND YES ON COMPUTER BUT FINISHING YEAR END REPORTS, BUCKSHOT

Pelican, I do not know who you are but when you speak...I listen.

December came in at 214687 mcf at 15.025 state standard.  The Mmbtu dry as delivered is around 207707(the pay volume). That puts the Btu at around .967. No doubt the price will suck. There were few days around the 10th through the 13th that came in with no gas, other than that it produced about 8 million a day.
