Permalink Reply by obed w odom on February 8, 2014 at 15:07 Thanks. I hope the lack of change in the last week doesn't indicate problems. Maybe they are doing some tests.

Some progress, but slow.
Permalink Reply by Skip Peel - Mineral Consultant on February 19, 2014 at 5:37 Very good, obed. Why so slow? Now we can ask you all the questions we have about the Langford 4H! LOL!

Permalink Reply by Gatrpaw on February 21, 2014 at 15:30 I think this rig was very much in less than desirable shape when Patterson took over and there have been a lot of things to fix and bugs to work out. I think everyone will see much faster drilling once everyone learns to trust Patterson to know what they are doing on the drilling side and turn them loose to drill the well.
Gatrpaw, that is exactly what I was told. They have had multiple mechanical problems with the rig but no wellbore problems. They are supposed to be at approx. 13,000 ft. as of Friday.

Looks like excellent progress since last week.
That's great, Obed !
It looks like WLL is having great results with the cement liner, plug and perf. completion technique. Productivity increases of 30%-100%.

I tend to be cynical about translating all of the competency of WLL to this hype called the LSBD. I tended to think of you as being overly optimistic and dreaming without foundation.
I value Skip's knowledge about these hoped for plays and he seemed to doubt the potential. So did I, until after reading your latest post I found that Skip has deleted all of his previous posts concerning the LSBD. Skip, are you starting to see some potential? Should we get our hopes up? You were saying most of the operators would be clearing out by this year. Do you still think so? What is your latest assessment and what have you heard?

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near…

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
