Ginny,

I am glad that everything went your way. It seems that leasing has stopped for the moment around here and I know CHK withdrew offers. I think Arnie's offer was at the top for the north area. I will tell my neighbor that you got your check. Did your lease go to CHK? I don't need to pay Arnie any percentage if I lease after 11-1-08 (90 days) which doesn't appear to be a problem since companies have pulled back.

Queenie,

If you sign with Arnie, would you share the O & G company? My next door neighbor is working with them and she was told that it would take longer since she only had one acre.

Queenie,

I sent a fax to his office 8/1/08 that stated I no longer needed his services since I wasn't ready to lease at this time. According to the agreement, if I sign any lease in the next three months, I would still owe him his percentage on the bonus money. If I sign any lease in my section 21, I need to do it with CHK because they already have the majority of this section with their Cross Lake leasing.

I was wondering if you would please tell me about your bad experience with Twin Cities? I would appreciate knowing so perhaps it might not happen again...

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
