The contract SHOULD spell out what amount they are required to pay for the renewal. Most of HK's recent contracts call for 2/3rds of the bonus paid. Some contracts are for 1/2 of the original bonus. It should all be spelled out in the contract.
If nothing else, it looks like you will be getting a well in the next 2 years or a new bonus anyway. I've got a little more than 3 years to wait.
Review your lease carefully. It more than likely has a renewal for 2 years included. If it doesn't send a certified letter to Petrohawk asking them to file a release of your lease.
