Would like to invite you to come to our church, Old Union Baptist Church. Our church is small & very informal, jeans welcome if you choose. It is between you and Leton. We will be having a fish fry on Oct. 11 5:30. You and yours are welcome. This will be a friendly get together for the community and church members. Games for kids earlier.

Babette, I am on Elmer Moore Rd. We were approached in May by an attorney from Minden. He wanted 5 % and he would flip the lease to a company. He said $2 to $4 thousand an acre. He was suppose to call us in one week. He didn't call. Husband called him, he said he couldn't talk and would call him back in 3 days. Never heard anything else. I know of several people that pooled their acreage, but they also haven't gotten any bites. Will let you know if I hear anything.

Snake,
Are you talking about Section 2, T23N, R9w? XTO should be moving rig in any day. It is smackover "C" zone. In section next to my property. Location is about 200 yds. south of AR. They also have 3 locations in Section 11 not permitted yet.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
