"There are a bunch of Section 26's in Bienville Parish you need to provide the Township and Range numbers also."

Recent Offers to Buy My Sub-Surface Rights

I'm new to this forum and am looking for some help. I inherited 5 acres in Bienville Parish which has a timber lease. There is currently very little oil and gas revenue. I recently received purchase offers from two different oil companies. I live out of state and do not no much about the industry. Is there new drilling or other activity that would create new demand? The land is in Section 26. Any thoughts on value?Thanks See More

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
