Tedford, are you leased?  If so, what is your royalty fraction?

Ted, this happened tome about a month ago. EOG was told to drop there efforts to lease in a particular area, and concentrate on Harrison/Marion County Line. As of last Friday, land person for Devon was calling.

You are free to lease with any company. If you and the remaining unleased siblings lease to a different company, that company, XTO and any other company with a lease covering an undivided interest in the tract should (but are not required to) cooperate with each other to develop the property. There are so many ways that could work, that it is impossible to go into it here (suffice it to say that there is not the type of force pooling in Texas that you see in Louisiana). That will be up to the lessees once you lease. Short answer - you are free to lease to another company.

Ted, you can look up Drilling Permits issued in Marion County on the RRC website. You will need the survey name & Abstract number. I purchased a Tobin map sometime back for Marion County which I use as reference.
Hope this helps.

I don't know how either. I just got off of the phone with someone with Devon Energy. He did say they would be interested in eastern Marion county. I do have a contact I can ask about the RR Commission website, I will let you know if I find anything out.

Mr. Williamson, I have minerals in Cass, Marion,Morris, Upshur counties with no activity yet. I would be interested in any thing that comes up in those areas. I would also be interested in a royalty owners group if one was formed.

Ted,

We are in the same boat. We have property in Marion and Cass Counties and are trying to figure out what the true situation is in that area and since we don't live in East Texas the information is hard to get. We have been approached for some land in Marion County so far by Penn Virginia but we are waiting to gather more information. Any information you may have or can share would be great. Thank you in advance.
