MM. Yes, please forward the information at your convenience. If you click on my "Personal Landman" ad or on the "Sponsors" tab, you will have access to all my contact information. I prefer to use personal email. Skip

MM. How soon do you need your research done? I have a full schedule barring any cancellations until the last week of the month. I can confirm which landowners are leased and to which company. I can search for the names of landowners in your section and let you know that they do not have a lease on file. Please keep in mind that leases are not always recorded immediately after they are executed. Negotiating as a group or at least sharing information is good practice as long as those doing so are in the same section. I work on a day rate basis of $300 with a minimum charge of 2 hours or $75. I can perform all the conveyance document searches on line so there will be no travel charges. Time or mileage. I think it possible that what you need can be obtained in two hours. If not, no more than 4 hours. I do not charge to answer your questions or provide referrals.

mm. I will be caught up sometime next week. When that happens, I will be headed to the DeSoto Parish courthouse or will be setting up a remote account. Please check back with me in a few days if you still wish to have some research done. Regards, Skip

Would you have a recommendation for someone who knows their way around the courthouse? I am in Atlanta Georgia and the extended family ranges from Portland to London. We need someone to do the research. Thanks,

Mr. Montana. You will not find leasing data on SONRIS as the state does not track it. The information is public record in the local parish Clerk of Court's office or on proprietary on-line databases. The Clerk's records are more up to date. If you know the names of the other landowner's in your section, you can pull a copy of their leases. The leases will reveal the acreage under lease, to whom and at what terms with the exception that lease bonus amounts are not included.

Mr. Montana. The closest Haynesville Shale drilling & production units to Sections 8 & 9 of 13N-12W are 14-16 to your immediate south and east by SWEPI and Sections 32 & 33 of 14N-12W about 1 to 2 miles due north by KCS Resources. KCS is a subsidiary of Petrohawk which is considered the most successful and capable of HS operators at this time. As this is a highly prospective location, there are numerous other companies with units in the area. BEUSA and Long Petroleum in 13N-12W and Questar, Matador,Stroud Petroleum, EXCO and Chesapeake in 14N-12W. I track drilling units, not wells. I suggest you learn how to use the LA. state database, SONRIS, to track Haynesville well permits in the area of you mineral holding. My philosophy is that the best offer that an operator will make is, more often than not, the offer just before a well is completed in the unit containing your property. Monitor SONRIS and GHS and you should be prepared when the times comes to make an informed decision. Good Luck.
