A worker told me that frac operations will begin Tuesday 3/2 on the Roadrunner well.

Hi RA Holt. I suppose you and I are related! I too am an heir to that piece of land you are referring to! When Devon's landman came to me I asked some hard questions, I guess, cause he never even came back. I do know though that he got a couple of the aunts to sign and gave them $100 bucks each and they don't even know how much is theirs or what royalty they signed for- I guess you know that peeeeeeeeevvved me off! He couldn't (or wouldn't) even tell me where the land is at, nor how much my interest is in it. I suspect it isn't very much at all though. But I also own a different 10.5 acre tract in A-726, which I believe might adjoin the 36 +/- acres in question, and Devon told me that unless I include "ALL" my acreage they wouldn't deal with me. So I immediately contacted another independent oil company that is leasing in the area, who claims that they participate in operations, and they have offered to lease my 10.5 acres. I have been bouncing since June on the 10.5 with XTO, Devon, and this independent and the best I could get with was XTO- $1000 and 20%; Devon was $500 and 20%. The independent is offering $500 and 25% (I think the extra 5% is better in the long haul). I have had a lawyer look at the lease papers I am about ready to sign and there are only a couple things still to work out, but I don't think there will be much more movement on the $500 and 25%. (Any offers out there?)

I joined the haynesvilleshale website for my aunt...Rubye Attaway Holt ( Morgan)....she passed away Nov 1st. She was married to Allen Holt and inherited the mineral rights from him.... I inherited from her.
complicated to say the least. I have had little contact with Devon....a couple of phone conversations and the lease agreement by mail...I would be happy to share the little I know.

Future Drilling Of Multilateral Wells In Shelby County,Tx
My prediction is that one of the major independents in Shelby,County Texas will drill a multilateral well and could possibly have a well that produces from at least 3 payzones at once. James lime, Bossier and the Haynesville shale.A very possible IP of 50 MMCF/day could be accomplished. This would cause a stock price increase for sure.Probably be the best bang for their buck. My guess it will probably be Devon or XTO. We shall soon find out.This will lead to a standard procedure for most of the companies that have stacked pay zones under lease to develop.

RBH, sorry but several of the major operators have stated they will not attempt to do multiple horizontal frac'ed laterals to different formations in the same well. It is just to risky and has never been done before. In areas with both Bossier Shale and Haynesville Shale, they plan to develop with separate horizontal wells.

Thanks for saying that Les. The only concurrent or comingled production (that I've seen reports for) has been done on vertical wells and they certainly don't produce anything like the suggested volumes posted by Jurassic Exploration...

FWIW - At least one of the wells in the Amuroso (sp?) field (deep ????? sand?) (east central Texas) reported an IP of about that much in the last year or two.

Yes, at least one and maybe two, if my memory serves me, over 40Mmcfd. I think that's mostly sand and lime with a little bit of shale from what I've read. I'm no expert so don't quote me, LOL.

I looked it up to refresh my memory. John Amoruso field - Deep Bossier Sand. The link below to an Encana presentation from this summer has a slide that shows 9 wells with 30 day averages of over 40 MMCFd.
