Hey Skip, It seems that 14/11 lost one. Was an application rejected? Thanks.
An operator may make a formal request of the LOC to terminate an existing unit. That occurs infrequently and is not the case here as I am unaware of any HA unit being terminated. Before posting the new Snapshot, I traded data with Les B. I either had an addition mistake or a unit in the incorrect township that Les caught. My apologies.
I see you have listed 15 wells applied for or drilled in T8 R12. Where can I go to see the locations or proposed locations of those wells?

In Sept., 2008, we received a copy of an application made to the Office of Conservation "to establish rules and regulations and to create 25 drilling and production units for the exploration for and production of gas and condensate from.....". Those wells were in T8 and 9, and R11, 12, and 13. I don't know whether they were ever actually applied for or granted. We all know what happened shortly after this letter came. We have heard nothing else.

On the Louisiana DNR site, I found a map that shows the above proposed wells as "Adopted Haynesville Shale Units." What on earth does that mean?

Thanks for any incites you can offer.
The Snapshot map gives totals for drilling units by township, not wells. A Drilling & Production Unit is utilized to force pool all mineral interests in a unit and to designate an operator. A unit qualifies for the maximum number of wells based on spacing regulations - currently 80 acres per well. As most units are an individual section of 640 acres - 8 wells. By receiving a unit order a company can make long term plans to fully develop a drilling unit. If you go to SONRIS Central or the SONRIS Help Center Group, you will find directions detailing how to conduct numerous searches.
Thanks so much. I knew there used to be SONRIS info on here, but didn't know what happened to it.
skip what about sec33 15w 18n cross lake area anything going on?
I haven't heard anything new in that area, JW.
Skip what does your crystal ball show for 14n 9w sec 10 & 11 in Red River
Parish
No crystal ball is required. SONRIS Lite is sufficient. Both sections are J-W Operating HA units. Both have existing production maintaining the leases. The question is, do those leases have vertical Pugh clauses? If so, J-W will drill a HA well prior to the expiration of the initial lease term. If not, they will probably drill other units which must be Held By Production (HBP) and drill these HA units sometime later.
