I'm not sure how to determine section, etc. to find out if there has been a well drilled.  It is in the Holly Field   and section 35 HA RA SUX.  Can someone help me with this, or do I need more information?  Also, how can I find out exactly where my mineral rights are?

HA RA SUX in the Holly Field is Section 21 - 14N - 14W, an Encana Unit. Section 35 - 14N - 14W is HA RA SUL, an El Paso Unit. If you have a lease your property description will appear on it. Go by that. The per-application unit notice letters that are sent out as part of the unit application process include not only those mineral owners of record within the unit boundaries but those in adjacent sections to a distance of 1000'. Many mineral get confused by these letters. Just because you received one doesn't necessarily mean you are in the unit.
Thanks so much for the info. This is my first in dealing with royalties, so I do have a better understanding since you explained. My lease will be up in December, so I was just trying to find out everyting I could. Thanks so much for your excellent information, and your patience with a person who knows absolutely nothing about royalties and mineral rights.
What section-township-range are you in?

Section 35-14-14 has many producing wells, this could hold your lease.

Section 21-14-14 has a well that began drilling in Feb. There have no recent reports though... if you are in this section you could be held by operations, hard to say without more info.
