Exactly where is Questar active in T15N - R8W? The only well in this Township and Range is in Section 6. The just moved in the big rig this Saturday. There are no other wells permitted in this T and R. Did you mean T15N - R9W?
Are there faults in 26, 27, 28, 34, 35, 8N-12W? we got a pre-app from Petrohawk on 26 last week. Thanks.
None are shown on the map I use san.
Here is a pdf from a timber company dealing with the same stuff in the same region. Cabot drilled those well as well. Take a look at this and see what you think.

Skip-- talking about faults, how do they effect Horizontal cotton valley wells and do we have any production info from any cotton valley horizontal wells in Desoto or Bienville Parishs?
thanks treeman
Horizontal wells may be adversely affected by faults with significant throws regardless of the formation being targeted. There are some CV horizontals that are complete and reported however you must be careful as some listed as CV are actually Haynesville. See below for those locations.

The Cabot well in Sec. 4, T14N-R7W (not the one referred to in Weyerhaeuser's) was only drilled to 14,100 and did produce from the Cotton Vally, though only briefly. I don't think that it went deep enough to see the Bossier, Haynesville or Smackover.
I agree john that's why I used the word "may" in my previous post. It is by far the deepest historic well drilled in the township. IMO, there is insufficient data to make a determination at this time.
Bump. SWEPI just reported production for section 30 in 11N-11W last week. It was a very good well at 17.5 mmcf/day, with 8500# flowing pressure. Has anyone seen increased activity in this area as a result of this good well? This is the first well in that immediate area to report out, and this shows the area to be very productive.
Henry shell has a well in sec 19 of 11-11 that they have finished fracing. P hawk is fracing awell in sec 36 of 11-12 and another well in sec 28 of 11-11 they are preparing to frac. chk is bld a loc in sec 34 for a well in sec 27 of 11-11. chk has loc built and well permitted for sec 22 of 11-11. chk is drilling a well in sec 4 of 10-11
buckmaster,
Thanks for the update. That is very useful and encouraging to hear. Is there any renewed leasing interest for you all in Sec 29, after the great well in Sec 30? Are you hearing anything on the prospects for Sec 29?
Henry we havent been contacted by anyone yet. were just waiting to see what the two p. hawk wells do. we figure business will pick up first quarter of next year..
