Shale news is soooooo slow and I am bored. I am wondering whatever happened to some of the most verbal players in the beginning of this site. Mooncookie, Jim Crow, Snake Stewart, Kassi, Jay (the other Jay--not Shale Geo).  There were others whose names I have now forgotten who are also lost. Did you all metamorphosize into our newer peers. If not, let's hear from you all again

The funny thing about this whole "old GHS" thing is that many of the members that were leased back then are still within their primary terms. Let's hope that GHS is renewed, extended, "leased up", and collectively held by operations and/or production for a long time to come.

If I may, Skip, I would like to submit an alternate title for your lampoon/group biopic: "GHS Pioneers: Beyond the Primary Term". I know: blame it on the landman in me.

{end thread hijack}
Considering the number of us "Pioneers" whose "primary term" is expired or soon to be so,  I would prefer a more positive connotation and a longer GHS lifespan.  Please, three years is not enough, even with an extension option which may or may not be exercised.  I would argue for a continuous drilling commitment.  HBP me, please!
yeah, where is Jack Blake???
Skip-----Maybe the GHS will be like the Periman Basin out in West Texas it's like the "Energy Bunny" it just keep on going...................
I'm just really thankful GHS was here when I needed info and there was no place to go. It's still here and still helping people understand their minerals and land rights. I really appreciate all the old timers and have enjoyed the newcomers questions and contributions!
I think we should have another "Shale-yeah-bration" and get all the old timers and newbies together to meet.  I would love to see those I've met and welcome the opportunity to meet those I haven't.

Parker, Sounds like a great idea. I haven't had chance to meet but a few members. But I do recall meeting you a few years back when a small group of us got together in S'port at a Mexican food place Superior Bar and Grill?). That was fun. This site has been a great  "meeting place"  for me. I feel I have made some good friends whom I would like to meet in person. I have met a few in Arizona and enjoyed their company. It was a real pleasure for me to meet the group so long ago at Superior.

In closing I nominate you to coordinate this affair. All in favor say "aye"

Best regards,

Aubrey

"Aye"!!
Aye!
Aye!

Bobi can do it.  Shoot!  She doesn't have anything else to do!  LOL!  I don't see why we can't all come to her house some afternoon after she gets the yard/pasture  mowed and the food cooked and everything.

Rosebud,        What a great idea. I bet Bobi would be glad to see us and I know she could handle that with no great effort.  BTW, were you not in the small group of people that met on  a Sunday at Superior Bar & Grill? If my memory serves me I think you were instrumental in helping organize the group. That was at least 3 years ago and my memory is short.
