Has anyone received any offers to lease in the last month? The lease on my property expires January 20th and I'm wondering what the going rate per acre is in Caddo.

Hey Walter..........Don't be a hater or go to some hate site...................Go Haynesville Shale is for lovers, dreamers, people who got outrageous bonuses, people who hope to get outrageous bonuses and people who hope to get huge royalty checks.
Show the love baby!
EH. I think walter is looking for A. McClendon's site. I'm sure Aubrey will be happy to listen and sympathize.
Linda,
Much of the pricing and terms will depend on which company has the majority of leased acreage in your section. Whoever has the most acreage leased will probably be the only company interested in leasing your tract. The leasing has matured to this and the insane prices and terms are gone. If you can find out which company controls your section, you should contact them.

I don't think we will ever see the amounts that were being paid in the last few months.
Really Jonny? No.
Thanks for info. The reason for my question on what is being offered is that my mother, who is 88 received a call from a landman this week offering her $1000 an acre. She is SUPPOSE to have anyone who contacts her call me, which she did not. She has no clue who the landman was or what company he was representing. She did tell him no. CHK has most of the acreage in our area and my mother told this landman that she didnt want to lease to CHK because she heard they were broke!!! What can I say----she's 88 and soon to be 89!!
KB, I have done all of this and my mother usually refers all calls to me. I guess she didnt feel like doing this on Wednesday. I do have power of attorney but I dont think its until after her death or if she becomes ill. I know she would not sign a lease or agree to anything without consulting me but it is just killing me not to know what company contacted her. We signed with CHK 3 years ago for $200 an acre and really dont understand why no one has contacted us about leasing since we are a month from it expiring.

Sorry "H", that probably should have been in the political forum. :o)
Linda, I do not know where this may fit, but we had similar situations when my mother was first diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. In the early stages, we worried about unsolicited phone calls. We turned off the ringers to all the phones, so that when a call would arrive, my mother would not answer the phone (since she never heard it ring). We also connected an answering machine to the phone line, so that all incoming calls were recorded. The first person to get home from work, would playback any messages that was left on the recorder. If we were expecting a call on a particular day, we could access the answering machine remotely throughout the day. Sadly, we no longer need to leave the ringers turned off. But we feel that the steps we had taken, eliminated the potential of an unsolicited caller taking advantage of my mother's medical condition.
