What State?

Sorry about that....  MS in Wilkinson County

Cindy,

That would be by the old "Lake Mary Oil Field"? I have not heard of any activity there lately. I am part of a family group that owns mineral interests northeast of you in the Buck Island area and southeast of Round Lake. No activity there either, yet....hang in there.

Cindy

If you want to watch any activity news go to Tuscaloosa Trend under 'Plays' and check Wilkinson County or Amite and Wilkinson Co.

Amelia Resourses has some good stuff also.

Thanks Charles!!!  I will check it out.  I've just been checking in on MSOGB for permit activity.  I'm in CA so I'm at the mercy of the internet.

My mom used to get royalty checks ages ago.  My family owned the land and mineral rights, but at some point sold the land.

660 acres I believe.

Yeah, sounds like my family's story. They sold the land and kept the minerals. We located all the heirs and formed an LLC in MS and conveyed all the minerals into it. A little over 8,000 acres. We are ready for what is coming. Good luck.

Cindy,

Did you sign a lease with Trinity?  They were signing leases in that area about a year ago.  I believe they bundled them all up and that is the package of approx 47,000 acres that Amelia Resource is trying to market.  I have seen no permits or drilling activity in that area yet.

M T,

Yes, we signed with Trinity close to a year ago.  Amelia trying to market....Is this a good thing?

Well, we said no to Trinity because we did not know who the lease would be with. I know of no activity in that area either.

Thanks Charles.

So Amelia like a broker?

Charles, we said no to Trinity as well for much the same reason and also because of the low ball offer.  Would prefer to deal with whoever they eventually flip the leases to.

Cindy,

Trinity was never going to be the operator IMO, so yes they need to sell these leases to somebody else before any drilling takes place.  They have been trying to sell the leases since January, so I don't know what the current outlook is.

Do you mind if I ask what kind of terms you got from Trinity when you signed the lease?
