Now that everyone has had a good laugh at my expense and jim's expertise at punch lines, I can report that title search has been ongoing in southeast Beauregard Parish for a deep test perceived to be 18,500 vertical depth. My source for this information is impeccable, but of course nothing presented is completely reliable here. My prediction is the well, if drilled, will spud in or near the old Tullos Field west of Bundick Lake. But if you have acreage in the Dry Creek area, you should take comfort in the fact that there have been several rather good Wilcox wells brought in near the Harmony and Pilgrim churches in Allen Parish. It's not likely this sweet spot stops at the Beauregard Parish line.
