I am a small landowner here in the Rambin Community which is located between Pelican and Evelyn in south Desoto Parish. I am just 3 miles south of Dolet Hills Mine. I was just wondering if anyone knew of any future drilling in this area? Also does anyone think that these companies will drill in Dolet Hills?

CHK is purchasing leases in your area. I know of a 100 acre owner who leased for $12,500/acre with 25% royalty this week. TCB

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
