Boundary lines

Land men representing Chesapeake and Petrohawk have both told me that no leasing activity is currently going on east of the township line that runs about where the old railroad tracks go threw Fryeburg. Does anyone know why this is? Does anyone know if the 3D sonic testing that was to be done in south Bienville is complete, and what the results were?

Hi Phillip,
The shoot is still in progress, they punched 4 holes on my land Friday. (in Saline) West of Castor they are shooting now. I haven't heard of any leasing activity in the shoot area. We the people of this parish need to come togeather so when the time comes we will have the leverage we need to get what our land is worth.

Philip, We are on HWY 154 about 1/2 - 2 miles east of the insection you are referring to. We are schedule for the shoot. We have heard sometime in Sept. I think they are waiting on the results of the shoot before the leasing will begin.

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
