A question for all of you who have signed up for the Veritas seismic shoot in Southeastern DeSoto, Red River, and Northern Sabine Parishes.... Veritas offered everyone $15/acre. However, they allowed many people to have favorite-nation clauses in their permits, just in case someone got a higher amount. So, I'm asking... Did anyone get more than $15/acre out of Veritas for this upcoming shoot? If so, would you let me know? There are probably many people who would like to know this. Thanks.

I don't know exactly. I was just told by Veritas that they were shooting the huge swath. It may take them a long while to get through it all. So, be patient, they may get to you.

They have these seismic cables down in my yard since Monday do anyone know how long they stay down or can you move the cables around because I need to mow my yard.
If you have a contact number give them a call, they have no problem moving them for you the same day temporarily. The cables can be out there for 2-3 weeks, usually.
Yes, getting $25 but you have to ask for it...

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
