I was recently told that some of the O&Gs will reemburse you for expenses accrued during the organizing of groups leading up to the leasing of your land to them. Things such as usage of private meeting rooms, time spent, travel, copies, ink, paper, etc... Has anyone ever heard of this?

I have not heard of any company reimbursing anyone for putting a group together. Oil & Gas companies do reimburse their lease brokers for these sort of things, so that is what you might have heard.
Thanks TRG, I've never heard of it before either. You know how this HS rumor mill is.
You might be able to expense some of the above listed in your tax returns!

There are a couple of CPA's here that know more about that than myself, but it seems like "the cost of doing business" and if that cost is high-enough.... might be worth looking into.
