they have finished drilling. i am not sure but i think the well at pleasant hill is the one that did the drilling for olympia minerals. after pleasant hill it has two locations to drill, one around pelican and maybe the other around oxford.

back to olympia minerals, two weeks ago we counted 30-35 haliburton trucks leaving the site so alot of activity going on at the site but not much information getting out. information seems to be hush hush but rumors are rampant. heard everything from one heck of a well to haliburton messed up the frac job and now they have to bring the rig back and redrill it. so who knows.
they were flaring this well off a couple days ago and you could see the glow for 5 miles or so.
Is there a web site for either the Belmont, La well and the Pleasant Hill , La well. thank you, jim
Went by the pipeline in the Big Woods today and there is a new line already run, just waiting to be connected to the main pipeline. Looks like it comes straight from the Olympia Minerals well.
Yes, it is gone. You can't go down the road where it is located but there are still some buildings there and a watchman in a camper. There has been some timber cleared across from the location and you can see some of it from afar.
Where is Big Woods that y'all are speaking of? Thanks, Donna
Sorry, thought everyone around these parts knew about "The Big Woods". Large wooded area favoured by hunters for years. Southwest of Pleasanthill,Southeast of Converse, North of Belmont. Large, sparsley populated area. Hundreds of acres. Any Haynesville find there would be the southernmost so far in Sabine that I am aware of. If in fact they flared the well, they obviously had significant gas. Hence the fever pitch of leasing in the Belmont/Mathaville area. Where or where does the play go from there??
Heard an Audubon landmen respond that the big woods well was producing "8 million a day" he thought...also offered 20 oe so northern sabine landowners a blanket $10,000 per acre
some north sabine land owners are being told $15-$20per acre
well spoken desoto dude !
