Hello I own property in SW Desoto (T11 R14W Sec 25) my place is HBP. I see alot of drilling activity, but has anyone heard of plans of the big players going after the haynesville shale gas down this way yet? I am in the Lula area.

Shelby it is on hwy 481 about 5 to 7 miles south of hwy 84, there is a cut through (used to be La539) from 191 to 481. Where 539 hits 481 is the area that I am talking about. From my house, I guess its about 4 miles West to 191.
For data on wells, why not check the state's data base? It's at www.sonris.com, and contains info on the status of every well in the state, even those that are only permitted at this time. You can find out exactly how many wells are near you, and their status.
Look at the depths of the wells you are interested in. If they don't go deep (say, 14,000 ft), they aren't Haynesville wells. Remember, there are very, very few Haynesville wells to date. Shell has a couple in northern Sabine parish (not yet done) and Encana has one in NW Natchitoches Parish (not yet done). The southern end of the Haynesville shale has no well, as of now, with data on sonris to give us an indication of how things will go. We should know a lot more in the next couple of months.
I too have explored Sonris to some extent, I thought maybe someone would have an "inside track" on what the " plan" is. It kinda looks like they may be trying to identify the periphery of the HS is and then go from there. I know Shelby that there was a deep well drilled back in march/april on 191 about 4 miles from the Sabine parish line(in the Benson field), but Sonris has not posted any production data as of last week. It is a great place for looking up the history and the future, but I've been told that gas producers do not have to report production for 90 days to the state, and so you cant learn stuff fast enough. I think it keeps the producers competition from immediatley knowing what they have going.
Look on sonris -- you'll see the Murray 31 well is listed in the permit at 14,000 as measured depth.
hey desoto dude i heard a rumor no facts that on the olympia well they are paying the state 20,000 a day to not
post this information about this well. no facts just a rumor.

This is a map of the existing Haynesville Shale wells. I think it is fairly current
Thanks....still nothing showing up in SW desoto, TY for the map! I guess I should be patient, alot of people down here have fetched some BIG upfront money, which in my brain would indicate the O&G folks think the gas is here too, just not enough drillers to go around I guess.
Hopefully in Oct around Bulah Church.
Hey Foxiecajun, I see you mentioned of a possible meeting in Oct. at Beulah church? Do you know of the dates or someone who might? Our land is on Nubin Ridge road and we would like more local information.
Hi folks, I'm an out of stater but my family owns land in Section 13 (T14N-R13W), 12, 24, and 25. Were currently HBP thru EXCO. Any activity down there? Thanks.
