ID LOVE TO HEAR SOME THOUGHTS ON HOW THIS WILL EFFECT OUR OFFERS/DRILLING ACTIVITIES IN THE NORTH PART OF THE PARISH.

Anything close to it will most likely become more attractive to the O & G companies. Don't you think?
I live about a mile from that pipeline, so I too was wandering if it would have any effect on the leasing? Only have 3 acres and haven't been contacted about leasing it.
There are two 42 inch pipe lines coming through Northern Bossier....Plain Dealing area but all of the gas for these lines is booked by producers of the Barnett Shale....these lines both go to Alabama for distribution up the East Coast.....Wont' affect any leasing or drilling in this area according to experts and the land man I talked to said no pigtails planned for these lines.
the problem is you talked to a landman........................Enough said.
Landman for the pipe line company!!! not an oil company!!!
Where will this line be and who is the company putting it in?
Both of these lines are about a mile apart in North Bossier running across the state...Mid continental line is on the north side of the Gulf South line
Those two pipelines run parallel to one another and go through my family property. They won't have any impact on the HAShale. Those two lines were in the works a couple of years ago.
So was the shale, we just were not aware of it.
I know what you're saying in reference to the shale; however, these two pipelines are being laid right next to an existing pipeline that has been there since around 1929. They are not related to the HAShale in any way.

I understand you're skepticism.
Let me correct a few things i have read here. Both the Gulf SOuth line and the Midcontinent line are both running within a 100yards of each other in north bossier parish as they are currently on my property. That being said I understand that aproximatly 1 to 2 miles north of these lines another line thats also 42in. is also going to be laid. I'm not sure about much regarding this line as it isn't close to me. I think a fair thing to say is that around north bossier may be the point where these two lines come together as i know they both bore the river at different points and merge together after that.
I have land in s35, t23n, r13w. Is this area being leased?
