I highly recommend John Frazier or Armand Roos in Shreveport, La.
You can't go wrong with Weiner, Weiss and Madison. Their work is focused on advising the landowner. I've seen the results of their work and it is GOOD. I'm not sure if Armand is praticing oil and gas but he is honest, trustworthy and knows the difference between what you have the right to do and what is the right thing to do. I wouldn't hire an attorney in Louisiana without Armand's approval.
What I've discovered is that most O&G attornies work for the O&G in some capacity. But some calling around will filter thru those. You will see what I mean.
How do they work for O&G companies?
Kathryn Bloomfield for safe drilling practices
It would be difficult to find any of the larger firms in the Shreveport/Bossier City area without any connection to the active operators in the HS area. Most of the firms mentioned below have represented small to medium size operators. Different attorneys in the firms handle different clients, but be sure to ask about conflicts. I am familiar with many of the attorneys mentioned here and would not hesitate to have them represent me as a landowner, but many cannot because of other members of their firm doing work for the operators. It may be as innocuous as a member of the firm writing a drilling title opinion, but that still may be enough of a conflict as to prevent them from representing you.
Lane Wedgeworth has been recommended to me by a relative which I trust fully.....I have not called him yet.

I plan to call him once I get my letter saying my land is being pooled.
