A happy day for America A sad Day for Democracy and Capitalism

I know this will probably get deleted and My Profile may also but here you go. Today was a triumph for some and a slap in the face for others. I am so sad that america has chosen this path that are for fathers faught so hard to protect. We have been lied to as american people. Democracy and capitalsim must come to an end. This may not be the end but a chapter in the book of History of this great nation. My Faith is in god, that he will not unleash anything we cant handle. This is the tourning point of what many of us know as normal. America is about to experience change, change that many of us want and many us dont. I dont understand the change, and I think none of us do. There is an empty spot inside of me with today with questions spinning around it. I just dont understand america, I just dont understand. He told you it was about to change, every time you read his name it was "CHANGE". I can promise you one thing, you may not like the change but he was honest, it will change! Yesterday is history as tomorrow is our future and our future will Change. God bless this great country, God Bless Democracy, God Bless Capitalism, God Bless Americam, God bless Barack Hussein Obama, God bless us all.

Amen! Amen! Amen!
You can always go to Canada.
Well, we will change if everyone accepts change sitting down.
But most, I imagine, would agree many problems with this country were caused by special interest lobbies romancing politicians (or dictating) and I imagine if Obama starts stepping on the wrong toes, those folks won't take it sitting down.
I'm sure they'll keep Obama and the others in their place just like they have been keeping politicians in their places for years.
I just hope the politicians don't take it out on us little people! Like placing more restrictions on our constitutional rights and faith.

All those promises made were likely for our benefit only so folks would vote for him. Now that he's gotten what he wanted from us, and he inters the real game in Washington DC, I'm sure we'll be seeing a different man than we've been seeing the last two years.

Quote from P.G.

I am afraid this is the plan for Change. We here the good things that he said but understand little. That is what makes this so scary, when you dont understand. Something you do not understand is far more scary than anthing realized. Its like hell is explained in the bible, eternal Hell! We can not understand enternety that is what scares us about hell, that the Bibel speeks of. Just like we do not understand this man and his policies and his view for our future. We dont understand where he came from or where he is going. I dont understand his plan for CHANGE!
I don't believe he wants anyone to understand his plan.
So, name calling again, John? Come on folks have a decent conversation. Both sides.
You are all way too strident.
Does he know his plan? Has he been told his Plan? Just so many questions about this upcoming CHANGE!
prosperity,

We have no choice but to give him a chance, Pray for him, and Pray for this great nation. I hope him well also, but I have a bad feeling about him. An uncertantity, much like the one when you try to think of eternity. Its questions, without answers, so many questions about this change!
Obama has yet to be sworn into office and already you deny him the respect he deserves. Did none of you listen to McCain's speech last night? Throw away the two party system, become the one party America. We're the greatest nation on this planet and now have the opportunity to work together and show it. (Although patriotism itself is a socialist behavior, but I'm sure most people here are patriotic anyway.)

Wait and see what he does. At least he will be open about it, more-so if he follows what he campaigned on. Unlike the wire tapping that was conducted behind closed doors. I consider that a larger infringement on my rights than having to wait a couple of days to purchase a handgun! Bush's policies were as big brother as any.

I, as a 30ish white male, making a great income, welcome this change. This is exactly what this country needed. Someone to shake loose the current failing policies (no child left behind..give me a break; the war in iraq..a revenge war) and start down a different route. Maybe we should eliminate lobbyists, maybe we should investigate revamping welfare, medicare obviously isn't working either, maybe we should stop spending Trillions on affairs outside of our country and repair our infrastructure, maybe we shouldn't allow politicians to accept donations from corporations or special interests. If it takes a "radical" man to tackle these issues, then so be it.

It was time for a change. Now we'll have it. I can't wait for next year. Thank you baby jesus!
Raybies,
Respect is something you earn you just don't give it away, he'll have his chance.
The proof is in the pudding he's gonna have to make tuff decisisons now not talk about them.
Missle strikes into Pakistan will he stop them. If not then what will the world think, These are decisions that he will have to make let's see how he does.
If someone is elected the President of the United States, they have EARNED respect. Bush had my respect when he was elected, he lost it by his actions and policies. Obama has earned his respect, and can just as easily lose it by making poor decisions.
I agree. I think what we're seeing here on this forum is a powerful lot of fear. And I think this fear has been very methodically and relentlessly cultivated by people with a vested interest in Obama's failure.

Change in and of itself is neither good nor bad. However, given the direction that our country has been heading (towards greater and greater power in the executive branch; total absence of oversight for businesses that pollute, ship jobs overseas, conduct swindles on Wall Street; disregard for personal liberties, etc.), change is going to be a very, very good thing.
