Charlotte,
Chesapeake has begun drilling in 1-13-13. The well is the Norris 1-13-13 well, #241995. Spud date was 9-24-1010. Good luck to you -- Chesapeake has many very good wells in this area.
Thanks Henry. I live in Texas, and the only information I have is from this Haynsville Shale website. Thanks to to all who participate in giving out information and replys from Haynsville Talk to help people like me. I am not knowledgable at all in the oil and gas field, but it has been very interesting to read the discussions.
And, I have not received any information or check from the company that drilled the well. I would think that after 3 months I should be hearing something.
Thanks!
Charlotte,
It will be a while until you hear something. It is not unusual to wait 12 months (sometimes more) from the spud date to receive your first check from a well. Keep checking on sonris to monitor progress.
Charlotte, the well did not reach total depth until 10/26 and it may not yet be completed and on production.

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
