warden. 11N - 14W has 19 HA drilling units to six different operators. Section 23 has no unit order and Section 24 is a JAG unit. I doubt that JAG will drill a horizontal HA well. They will probably farmout their deep rights to a true shale player. Chesapeake is the closest in Sections 17-19, 29-31,34,36. They have the only completed horizontal HA wells in the township. The Mercer 30-11-14H in Section 30 reported Initial Production of 5.733 MMcfd and the Blackstone 31-11-14H in Section 31 reported 5.279 MMcfd. Chesapeake, St. Mary's, Continental Resources and BP America have HA horizontals drilling now. Hopefully the next wells completed will have better IPs. Good Luck.
Skip,
Thanks for providing the information on activity in 11N- 14-W; we are in sec 17 11-N 15-W. It appears that T-11 R-15 has a substantial number of unit orders relative to the area. In regards to timing, any opinions when Sec 17 might receive marching orders to drill.
Thanks,
Shelby
shelby. I suspect you will see activity soon as Chesapeake permitted the CHK LA 17-11-15H (S/N 240602) in your section on December 23, 2009. Good Luck.

Has any activity changed in this area lately? Sec. 23/24 11N, 14W?

Thanks...
Yes, there are now 32 sections under unit order. Those currently without are 14,25,27,35. Section 23 is a Petrohawk unit and 24 is Comstock. In your area of the township Petrohawk permitted a well with a surface location in Section 22 drilling north into 15 on 7-6. KCS has a well with a surface location in Section 28 drilling south into 33 which was reported potentialed on 8-17. Chesapeake began drilling a well in Section 29 on 8-28. There is no current production in either of your sections so it is likely that you are not Held By Production. If that is the case, both of these sections will probably be drilled before the leases begin to lapse. Good Luck.
