I'm hearing from my brother that equipment and materials are moving onto the pad in Sec. 16.

If it's Rowan #54 Rig, Chesapeake, McCoy 16 #H1 Well, Serial #240883, S16-T11N-R15W, it was just spud 3-5-10. Don't think they would be flaring gas this soon.
My brother lives just down the road from the rig and he watched them flaring the gas this past weekend. It was visible from a good distance.
Maybe they had a kick and had to flare until the mud was stabilized. I'm not a well hand but don't think flaring gas while drilling is a common practice.
Thanks, and yes reported definitely flaring.
Could that kick have come from Bossier gas as the drilling went through that play? One can hope, I suppose.
Keenan,

Are you sure the flaring wasn't one of Donnie's famous "gas bombs" that got ignited?

Remember the telelphone booth ? !

Hello old friend. Hope all is well on your end.
Rig and equipment removed from pad, I'm hearing from my brother.
According to local source (brother), they're setting up to fracture this well.
